Every design has an edition size, and I fix it before I sell the first piece of that design. The dress stops at two, Bella’s Top at eight. Each piece is numbered inside its edition, as No. 2 of 5, and every page states what exists. A different colour or a different size counts inside the edition, and so does a piece knitted to someone’s measurements: the number counts the design, not the variant. When the last piece of an edition is knitted, that is all there will ever be of that design.

Natural and recycled fibres, and I name the supplier wherever I can. The Summer Bag’s wool comes from Laines Paysannes, a cooperative in Saverdun in the Ariège: free-range Pyrenean sheep, wool sorted on the day of shearing, washed in the Ariège and the Haute-Loire, spun in Dreuilhe. The dress is extrafine merino from Lang Yarns, mulesing-free and Cradle to Cradle Gold, Australian wool spun in Italy. The Mirage Skirt and Bella’s Top are knitted from Venne’s recycled denim yarn in the Netherlands: 48% cotton, 47% recycled polyester, 5% residual fibre. The polyester comes from PET bottles, and it earns its place, because denim fibre alone cannot be spun and something has to bind the thread. The jeans are sorted by colour, which is how the shades exist without dye. Two fibres still have no confirmed supplier. Their records stay empty until they do.

Every photograph of a piece is mine, of that piece. Where the site shows a material or a place I could not photograph myself, it uses a reference photograph — licensed from somewhere else, framed, credited, and marked as one. A reference photograph shows what a thing looks like. It is not a photograph of my material or of my supplier’s place, and it never stands as proof of anything: the claim beside it names the record it comes from instead.

Yes. I knit unique pieces or very small series, and the designs in the shop are the series. The other half is made for one person, one film, one night on a stage — a dress for a music video, two outfits worn in a gallery performance. Artists can hire those pieces. What that costs and how it works is not settled yet, and the page says so rather than guessing: ask, and I will answer.

Because of how few there are. Only two of the dress will ever exist, and only eight of Bella’s Top. That difference is what moves the price. The rest of it is the material, named and traceable, and one person knitting each piece by hand. Every piece carries a record you can check against this site. There are no sales and no discounts.

By request. Use the button on the piece’s page — it opens your email with the piece and its number already written in. A reply within 24 hours, in English, French or German.

Orders are prepared and shipped from the Berlin atelier within 3 to 5 working days, across Europe.

You have 14 days after delivery to send a piece back, in its original condition, unworn and with its tag. Refunds are processed within 10 working days of receiving the piece. A returned piece does not become a new one. It comes back as the same number, and its page says so.

Every piece that exists today is a size S. They are knitted by hand, so there are slight variations between them, and the knit is soft and moulds to the body. Exact measurements are on request for any piece. Ask before you decide.

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, then dry flat away from direct sunlight. Tumble dryers and washing machines distort the knit.
